NYTD Dashboard

A publicly accessible, interactive dashboard developed by the Children’s Bureau that displays national and state-level summaries of NYTD data by Federal Fiscal Year (FFY).

What's in the Dashboard

The NYTD dashboard displays national and state-level summaries of NYTD data on the following:

  1. Services
    Provides information on youth and young adults who receive independent living services.
  2. Outcomes
    Provides information on youth who complete the NYTD survey at age 17 and again at ages 19 and 21.

Why It Matters

The interactive dashboard offers publicly accessible data that can be used by all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and other interested parties to gain deeper insights into the experiences of youth exiting the child welfare system. The dashboard is designed to:

  • Support data-informed service delivery decisions;
  • Provide engagement tools for youth to explore and express service needs; and
  • Promote transparency in child welfare data collection and reporting.
